Assistant Professor Positions in Photonics at the University of Tokyo
The Physical Chemistry division of the Department of Chemistry at the University of Tokyo invites applications for two Assistant Professor positions beginning in early 2013. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in the field of photonics (biophotonics, green photonics, quantum optics, optoelectronics, nanophotonics, ultrafast optics, etc.), but we will consider creative candidates who show extraordinary accomplishments in research and teaching in any area of science. A Ph.D. or equivalent degree is required by date of hire. Applicants should prepare a curriculum vitae, statement of previous research, statement of future research and teaching, copes of selected publications, and list of the names of references and send them to Department Chair. Hired assistant professors will work closely with Professor Keisuke Goda and his research staff (students, postdocs, research scientists, etc.) in Goda Laboratory (http://www.goda.chem.s.u-tokyo.ac.jp) located at the University of Tokyo. Goda Laboratory supports interdisciplinary and internationally friendly research environments and has the goal of producing global leaders in the 21st century science, industry, and medicine.
