Job Description The successful candidate will belong to Cryogenics Science Center of Applied Research Laboratory and will take a major role in research and development of advanced cryogenic engineering in accelerator science and experimental physics carried out at KEK. He/she is to be in charge of development of superconducting magnets and cryogenic systems for elementary-particle and nuclear physics experiments and material and life science experiments at J-PARC, as well as operation, maintenance, and improvement of those systems in the J-PARC cryogenics section.

Job Description The successful candidate will be in charge of electromagnetic design and structural analysis for advanced superconducting magnets for the LHC accelerator upgrade program, based on the CERN-KEK research cooperation agreement. He/she will be requested to be periodically stationed at CERN and to be involved in the optimum magnet design and engineering. He/she will also contribute to research and development of superconducting magnet technology for accelerator science and physics experiments progressed at KEK.

Job Description The successful candidate will belong to the Accelerator Laboratory, and is expected to take a major role in the research on beam dynamics in the J-PARC Main Ring. The candidate is also expected to engage in the operation, improvement, and maintenance of related accelerators as well as in R&D work on accelerator technologies for future projects that KEK is promoting.
