From the earliest possible date to July 31, 2013 (The contract will be renewed on March 31, 2013). The contract period can be extended depending on the budget, progress of the project, and work performance of the person.
Contents of work
Experimental work for study on new transition metal complexes and main group element compounds as well as organic synthesis. The researcher is expected to work with associate professor Naokazu Kano.
Salary
Salary will be commensurate with ability in accordance with the employment regulations of The University of Tokyo. Travel expense to Tokyo, Japan will not be paid.
Qualification
A PhD degree in chemistry or related fields. Experimental research experience in the field of organometallic chemistry, organic synthetic chemistry, coordination chemistry, or main group chemistry. Good oral and written communication skills in English or Japanese. Ability to carry out independent research and collaborate with other researchers in the laboratory.
